Dear Reader,
I am delighted to introduce you to Izyum City, not big one, but with great potential. We located in Eastern Ukraine, where well-maintained highways connect the industrial centers of Kharkov, Donbas and Russia.
Our goal is to expend our existing industrial production potential and incorporate western standards of quality, which will enable us to manufacture products that can complete in the world market. This is attainable because we possess, in addition to our industrial infrastructure, an excellent education system, trained personnel and a productive work force with low labor costs.
In the course of the political and economic changes that are under way in Ukraine today Izyum is interested in attracting investment, advanced technologies, material resources as well as in business partnership on mutually profitable terms.
Our long-term goal is to become fully intergraded in the “Global Economy”. We look forward with great excitement to the inevitable changes that will occur in the lives of our citizens and the community during this transformation.

Welcome to Izyum, Ukraine!
Our town, a highly industrialized and cultural center where highways and railroads cross, is located on the banks of the Siversky Donats River in the southeastern region of Kharkov.
Our population is 60,000 within an area of 43.6 sq km.
Our town is well known for its industrial base, not only in the Ukraine and the "FSU" (former Soviet Union), but also in many other countries. Our unique optical products have long been famous and have earned us an excellent reputation and favorable publicity in a multi-million customer market. The trademark "Izyum Optics" is known to literally all inhabitants of the FSU, where one pair of glasses or another optical product can be found in practically every household.
Izyum lies in the geometric center of the most densely populated eastern region of Ukraine, 100 km from large cities such as Kharkov, Donetsk and Lugansk. A highly developed transport network connects the town with the big industrial centers of Donbas and Russia.
Twenty big industrial enterprises and more that 300 medium and small private firms operate in our town. Five banks and one insurance company support them.
The excellent geographical location of Izyum positions us close to the largest industrial centers of Ukraine and Russia. Additionally, our transportation network and communication facilities are attractive to business people, entrepreneurs and investors from both neighboring and distant foreign countries.
